The Mermaid saga is one of my favorite dark fantasy anime series. People worry so much about youth and longevity; this series illustrate the consequences of vanity and immortality. I was reading IGN's top 25 popular Anime characters list and wanted to know what your tops are for this type of list. The manga was originally published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump. The series consists of 175 chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes, and won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen in 1994.

A series of YuYu Hakusho OVAs were released only in Japan. It has also been broadcast across Japan, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent by the anime satellite television. YU YU HAKUSO is story about Yusuke Urameshi, he is a street-brawling delinquent with a tough guy approach to everything. Yusuke's mother Atsuko, an alcoholic, had him at the age of 15 and took a backseat in raising her son. He has a reserved seat in the guidance counselor's office, and numerous other delinquents in the city are constantly trying to take him on. Yusuke is pretty fed up with his life.

you might complain that this series isn’t much more than a mash-up of all the other shows I liked: the “roaming ronin and spirited girl sidekick” aspect of Samurai Champloo, the “laconic man of action and his busty accomplice” bits of Cowboy Bebop, the “mysteriously powerful mecha” parts of Gundam Wing (and also Space Knight Tekkaman Blade), the “dangerously competent idiot” motif of Trigun….

I have no problem with any of this, because I was looking for EXACTLY something that threw together my favorite elements of those series into a hearty stew. Gunsword*** is that hearty stew. It is also a show that’s more than willing to screw around with its central quest premise, early and often, if it finds a story it is more interested in telling. For instance, the third episode basically puts its lead characters on the backburner to play around with the idea.

Anime fans can never get enough of their favourite manga, those who love Evangelion should be pleased to know that another product is out and waiting to reach their personal collection.

The Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise is an umbrella of Japanese media properties generally owned by the anime studio Gainax. It has grossed over 150 billion yen since 1995.[1] The central (and original) works of the franchise feature an apocalyptic mecha action story which revolves around the efforts by the paramilitary organization Nerv to fight hostile beings called Angels. Nerv's primary weapon against the Angels are giant mecha called Evangelions which are piloted by select teenagers, one of whom, Shinji Ikari, is the primary protagonist. Other works deviate from this theme to varying degrees, focusing more on romantic interactions between the characters, side stories which did not appear in the original works, and/or reimaginings of the conflicts from the original works.

Gainax launched a project to create a movie ending for the series in 1997. The company first released Death and Rebirth, consisting of a highly condensed character-based recap and re-edit of the TV series episodes 1-24 (Death) and the first half of the new ending (Rebirth, which was originally intended to be the full ending, but couldn't be finished due to budget and time constraints). The project to complete the final episodes was completed later in the year, and released as The End of Evangelion. The End of Evangelion is an alternate ending of the series and retells episodes 25 and 26. The End of Evangelion replaces the Rebirth portion of the first film Death and Rebirth.
