The Gundam Wing Endless Pictures

The Gundam Wing Endless Pictures
This is set in the After Colony timeline, an alternate universe to that of the original Gundam series . Endless Waltz is both sequel and prequel to the Gundam Wing series. It is a sequel as it is a continuation of Gundam Wing, but is also a prequel as it reveals details regarding the past of the Gundam pilots and the true objective behind Operation Meteor. He Endless Waltz OVA is a favorite of mine in the Gundam franchise. It takes place two years after the end of the Wing storyline. We see our heroes doing their own thing in the colonies rather than shedding blood on the battlefield.

I liked Endless Waltz because it revealed the true feelings of the Gundam pilots, like when we see Heero morning over the loss of a little girl caught in a explosion during one of his missions, and the origin of how the Trowa we know got his name. This might as well be the OVA adaption of the two Gundam Wing “spin-off manga”: Episode Zero and Ground Zero, which I enjoyed very much. There are a couple of annoyances, like the young Mariemaia’s never ending devotion to avenge her father’s–who claims to be Trieze–death, and Chang Wufei’s usual stubbornness, just like in the TV series. Her actions, including the abduction of Relena, prompt the Gundam pilots to suit up once again to bring peace. There are many memorable scenes, some of which I cannot explain as it would spoil the plot. Watching Endless Waltz was a nice reward for watching Wing all the way to the end. The animation is amazing, for an OVA, of course, and the soundtrack of TWO-MIX (White Reflection), who provided the opening and ending themes for Wing TV series, makes the action better than ever.

Endless Waltz is the last we’ll ever get to see of the Wing boys. If you enjoyed Gundam Wing, or deep Gundam fan, this is worth the buy.
